TEDxUPLB is BACK!

TEDxUPLB is back in town! We are happy to announce that TEDxUPLB 2021: Sign of the Times is coming to our very own homes this May 2, 2021, via Zoom Conference.

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, a lockdown was implemented in numerous cities in the Philippines last March 2020. This also led to the impossibility of face-to-face gatherings with the health and well-being of everyone at risk. Thus, we had no choice but to postpone what was supposed to be TEDxUPLB 2020 last April. It was a difficult decision made with sadness and heaviness, given how much everyone looked forward to the event itself.

This is the reason why we are ecstatic to have TEDxUPLB, a platform dedicated to sharing ideas worth spreading and sparking discussions among people, reopen in our very own community. A lot of changes have happened and will inevitably continue to happen as our country faces a health crisis. For this reason alone, we believe that inspired ideas become even more needed and important by the community.

Last February 2020, a month before the lockdown started, we held a Salon entitled: “Love, TEDxUPLB P.S: Through the Spectrum and Beyond,” where the community talked about love and the many forms it takes in our lives. This 2021, TEDxUPLB will have for the first time, an online event with the theme SIGN OF THE TIMES.

From the outpour of responses for this year’s participant application, the team is glad to announce that we are now undergoing evaluation for this year’s participants. Join us this May 2, 2021, as we embark on a journey that will take us back to the past and make us envision the future in order to see the present with a fresh perspective.

The world is continuously changing, and time keeps moving. Are you ready to discover more about the Sign of the Times?
